Woxu UWB forklift-positioning solution achieves zero mis-placement and zero search for paper reels.

In a 10,000 m², 12 m-high finished-goods warehouse holding thousands of paper reels, operators used walkie-talkies to call out reel numbers while drivers searched blindly, averaging 25 min per reel with a 3% pick-error rate. Woxu’s forklift-positioning system gave each clamp truck an embedded UWB tag, fixing the truck—and therefore every reel it carried—to centimetre-level coordinates.

The WMS allocates the optimal slot based on reel ID and outbound schedule, and the on-board tablet guides the driver in real time. Scanning the reel barcode binds reel to truck; when the truck reaches the slot its coordinates are logged automatically and inventory is updated, eliminating manual entry and uniting truck and reel in one data record.

Inventory becomes instantly transparent, reel-location time drops to 1 min and pick errors fall to zero. Path-planning cuts empty travel by 28%, letting each shift handle 120 extra reels and saving 180,000 RMB in fuel annually, while the full reel journey from winder to loading bay is digitised end to end.
