Xu Mining Series: Superb Tools for Safe Positioning in Mines

In underground operation environment such as coal mine, safety and efficiency are always the top priority. For the special high-risk explosive underground production environment, based on UWB high-precision positioning technology, Woxu Wireless has launched ‘Xu Mining Series’ precise positioning equipment for mining, covering personnel/vehicle positioning identification card, card reader, card reader sub-station and portable search and rescue instrument, etc., which provides the solution for the positioning of underground personnel and safety management.

Precise localisation, accurate positioning

The UA-310 intrinsically safe card reader launched by Woxu Wireless is based on the domestic ultra-wideband (UWB) technology, which adopts nanosecond pulse signals to achieve centimetre-level positioning accuracy. With single antenna external design, the coverage radius of single anchor is up to 400 metres, and it supports high speed cascade of multiple devices, which can accurately control the location information of underground personnel and equipment, and strongly guarantee the safe and efficient operation of the mine.

The UA-310 strictly follows the GB3836.4-2021 Explosive Environment intrinsically safe design standard, with Ex ib I Mb explosion-proof marking, and can be safely applied in hazardous environments of mines containing flammable methane gas. Meanwhile, it has IP65 protection level, adaptable to high humidity, dust and other harsh environments, and all components have passed RoHS certification. Its stable and reliable performance builds a strong safety defence for mine operations.

Ultra-low power consumption, energy-saving model

In underground coal mine operations, the low power consumption of the equipment is of great significance. Low power consumption means that the equipment can effectively save energy during operation, reducing energy consumption, and at the same time reducing maintenance costs due to frequent replacement of batteries or repair of faulty energy-consuming components, thus ensuring that underground operations can be carried out in a sustainable and safe manner. While achieving centimetre-level positioning, it can initiate alarms (one-key call for help), and can be reminded by beeping and light display when the platform sends out alarms. Equipped with 0.96-inch OLED display to show more information, equipped with intelligent hibernation design to extend the standby time, and under the same state of working power consumption is reduced to less than 1/3 compared with Decawave solution.
